I've said it before and I'll say it again. Cranford is one of the most delightful shows I've ever seen. We just rented for a second viewing and it is just as bit as good as I'd remembered. I really need to read something by this Elizabeth Gaskill.
Alissa- it was a miniseries on PBS last year. If you like those British Masterpiece Theater type things then you'll like this. But it isn't as stuffy as most of them.

I have never heard of it and now I'm very intrigued! I'll have to put it in our DVR and see if it's ever on tv sometime!
The first episode was the best - most of the comic relief occurred then. I really enjoyed it, too.
